Our Story
Maverick Myco started from a simple frustration: it was too hard to find reliable, high-quality liquid cultures in the UK. Too many suppliers cut corners on sterility, and too many beginners were left guessing whether a failed grow was their fault or their supplier's.
We set out to fix that. Every liquid culture we sell is prepared under laminar flow conditions using a proprietary nutrient broth, and each syringe is checked for visible mycelium growth before it leaves our lab. If it doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't ship.
Beyond cultures, we stock the supplies that home growers actually need — from pre-sterilised jars and injection ports to syringes, needles, and complete starter kits. Everything is chosen and tested by growers, for growers.
